We settled into our condo which had a scenic view of the Comal River and then located the other groups of our family. Each group of the family was responsible for a meal, and we were up the first night so we got busy fixing supper while my aunt took the boys to the swimming pool.
On Saturday, we rented a bunch of tubes and took turns taking floating trips. We were able to walk right across the street and put in for a 30 minute float which was perfect for the kids. The morning was absolutely wonderful because the river was not very crowded. I wasn't sure how my boys were going to like it, but they really enjoyed floating the river.
On Sunday, we packed and loaded all of our stuff and then headed for Gruene. We strolled through the shops on the main street and then enjoyed a great meal with the big family at the Gruene Grist Mill. We decided if we have another weekend in New Braunfels that we needed to spend one more day. What a wonderful weekend of time with my cousins, aunts, and uncles!
Our immediate bunch posed for one picture before we hit the road to head back to Fort Worth and a week full of packers and movers for the Booth bunch, which is why I haven't been able to update my blog in a while.
Fun, fun. I loved Gruene and the Gristmill is one of my favorite restaurants ever!!! What a great time y'all had. I would love to do the river thing, too when the kiddos get a little older.
